Rooted in community. Growing together since 2003.Our story

Community mentorship

A small circle.
A stronger foundation.

Weekly mentorship near home, with trained people who understand your stage of life and help you grow with purpose.

How it works

Two mentors.
Up to twelve mentees.

Small groups make room for individual voices. They can begin with fewer than twelve members and grow as suitable mentor capacity becomes available.

  • Mentees aged 16–35, grouped appropriately by age and life stage
  • Mentors aged 18+, selected for maturity, experience and competence
  • Separate groups for boys/young men and girls/young women
  • Parent or guardian consent for members aged 16–17

Each group connects directly with Savannah and receives support through community and district coordination.

Care & accountability

Growth needs trust.
Trust needs care.

Mentors complete training and approval before leading groups. Parents, guardians and local leaders help make activities visible and accountable.

Clear expectations for conduct, meeting arrangements and communication support respectful mentorship. Members should be able to raise concerns with the responsible Savannah team.

What if I cannot afford membership?

The proposed annual membership is K30. Inability to pay should not prevent participation. The team will help arrange support.

Can I join before a group opens near me?

Yes. Register your interest and location. The team can follow up as trained mentors and suitable groups become available.

Can younger children join?

The current community mentorship programme is for ages 16–35. Activities for younger participants may be developed separately.
