Learning in the places we call home

A look at community gatherings and school outreach preserved in the Savannah archive.

Mentorship has taken Savannah into schools, communities, churches and other shared spaces.

These photographs form part of Savannah’s community mentorship story. Their story belongs to Savannah Intercultural Institute, the mentorship establishment founded in August 2003.

Conversation, participation and connection

Across the archive are moments of people learning together: group conversations outdoors, workshops around a table and gatherings in school halls. They reflect a history of taking mentorship to people in their own communities.

A legacy to carry forward

The renewed model retains that community foundation while bringing more focused support to smaller mentorship groups. The ambition is to help more young people find guidance near home, with trained mentors and accountable coordination.

These are historical images. They do not identify active clubs or current members. New group listings and event details will be published once confirmed.
